I'm looking for an ECU setup that can handle Direct injection. The engine I plan on using is a EA211 1.4t VW engine.

Hi,
I think your ECU is similar to my GTI MK6 test car - Bosch MED17.5?
Right now I am still testing and improving the PF-DI board I hope to offer them for sale soon.
When it is complete I am pretty sure it will handle 1.4 TSI - do you have a wiring diagram so we can compare pinout with the 2.0 TSI?

Sorry for hijack tread , but the new board you building will be able to work with modern diesel engines ?

It's a med 17.1.21 Part# 04E-907-309-AP
I don't plan on using the original ecu. I'm planning to swap this motor into a Porsche 924 and I needed an ecu that could handle direct injection. Most of the ecus in the market are insanely expensive for direct injection.

Hi crave,
ECU looks the same - hard to imagine the engine hardware is significantly different from what I am using.
I think it should be OK. Does 1.4 TSI bolt up really nice? 2.0 TSI would be more fun no :-P??
Once I get the GTI test car on the road (not driving yet) I can conform the design better and make some more prototypes - let me know if you are keen to try one :-)
Also this board will be for electromagnetic solenoids only - not piezo for diesels!

Matthew Some modern diesels use still electromagnetic , but question is can it handle timings and mutiple injections in one stroke for diesel ?

I think the PF-DI board stands a good chance of producing diesel injection multiple pulses it utilises a slave processor that has little else to do so should be OK...

OK sure no worries I will post a video here soon.
I have my GTI running quite well now on the PF-DI board.
Feels like stock to drive just a little funny with the DSG integration which really needs throttle blips to work 100%.
The respin of the PF-DI board has a few issue requiring jumpers and mods but I can supply if you are keen to try a VW GDI project :-)
Cheers,
Matthew
