Hi engine lovers!, First of sorry for my english, I'm from Argentina and I have recently discovered the Rabbit ECUs and please let me say that I'm impressed with this product. At the moment I don't have a clear idea about the shield that are neccesary for start an engine, i believe it's a idiomatic matters. I have a project in mind, it's consist to swap GDI engine to an older car. The idea is to choose a GM engine, particularly an 1.4T Ecotec Direct injection and the question is: What components do I have to purchase? the Rabbit 1.3 and the sparkdog and a Teensy? those 2 shield plus the MicroControllers ? Once again what a wonderful job are you doing!

Hi Gustavo,
Sorry for such a late reply. I have been working on the PF-DI board V2 - that is the shield you would need. The PF-DI V1 version has too many issues needing jumper wires so isn't for sale just for testing.
Soon I will put up some photos of the how the V2 is progressing.
I think this can work for your 1.4 GDI. You would need the Rabbit ECU main board and the PF-DI board V2. The new board has 3 micro-controllers, the Teensy, the MK10 DBW and GDI controller and also a PIC18 for wakeup and knock sensing in software.
More info to come soon!
Matthew
