Hi,
I am pretty keen to grab one of the rabbit ecu's but before I do I want to check if my ideas will work.
I want to run the ecu at first in the background to check my AFR on my 351 v8 ski boat using the required sensor and the ecu. Pretending to efi but running a carburetor.
Can this be done?
Can the ecu log data so that I can review it in map mate?
Then I though as I work through it all and get parts together I could switch over to the rabbit ecu for iginition timing and then later on bring an injection system online.
Can this be done in stages like this?
Thanks for any help.
Regards Paul

Hi mate,
I think this can work OK - only issue is the ECU is already programmed to manage the LSU 4.9 sensor per the Bosch instructions for turning on the heater when the engine is running etc.
I don't mind adding a setting to disable this if you are really keen to try. You just have to be aware the sensor life may not be that great when exposed to raw fuel (carb) or condensation.
The other stuff yes you can add features as you like. The ECU does not have internal logging - PC attached logging only.
Cheers,
Matthew
