Hi!,
This is Martijn from the Netherlands. I stumbled across your ECU project when looking for a standalone ecu. The Rabbit ECU looks very good! I am mainly working with the older 4 cyl. SOHC Volvo reblock engines. These engines are mostly used with LH2.4. It would be really cool if we could make Rabbit ECU work with the OEM AMM and sensors.
Do you have some more documentation on how we can set-up RabbitECU for engines like this? I already have an Arduino Due on the way and i will order your v1.2pcb from tindie.

Hi Martin, Thanks :-) I hope the Rabbit ECU can help you out with your Volvo LH2.4 You will need to create some resistor divider circuits if you want to use the Bosch AMM because the output voltages are quite high ~10V. I haven't yet programmed the Rabbit ECU to accept the ratiometric style L-Jetronic output it is a little tricky but could be done. You would need to sample and divide down (resistor divider) the three voltages - 1. AMM supply voltage 2. Return air mass 3. Return air temp Feed these into Rabbit ECU analog inputs I would suggest Analog1 AMM voltage, Analog2 AMM air mass and Analog7 air temp. So you need these three voltages to calculate air volume flow rate and air temperature. Rabbit ECU has a AFM mass flow rate g/s versus voltage or frequency. This can be used for your AMM but you will to apply air temp correction through the air temp correction table because it outputs volume flow not mass flow. I'm happy to write up a blog on how to do this very soon - please look out on the website soon or I can send more instructions. Hi Matthew, Thanks for your answer! I will have a test Volvo ready soon (i hope). Maybe it’s an idea to get an AFM from an Opel with an C18 engine. Then i can get RabbitEcu to work with this and at least make a basic engine tune first. And after that try to make the LH2.4 AMM work? Hi Martin, Thanks for the info - yes that MAF would be a lot easier to work with. The Rabbit ECU MAF table is set up right now having 17 points. Using the datasheet you sent, I created a rough 17 point air mass flow g/s versus linear millivolt scale in Excel that gives these numbers: mV g/s 1600 0.6 1800 1 2000 1.5 2200 2.5 2400 4.6 2600 7.4 2800 11.3 3000 16.3 3200 23 3400 31.5 3600 40.5 3800 50.5 4000 62 4200 75.5 4400 94 4600 114 4800 136 5000 160 You might want to check this - Excel sheet attached. Next MAP-MATE release I will add the airflow table. It exists now in firmware and has been tested but isn't linked in MAP-MATE... Cheers, Matthew

Sorry for the delay. Thank you very much for the detailed information! The Rabbit ECU board has arrived a few weeks ago. I hope i have time soon to get going with this.
But i must say that i like the Rabbit ecu board very much! Professional design.
