Hi, Yes sure you can use Rabbit ECU as piggyback. Attached is an example of a 4 cylinder piggyback install. If the car doesn't have CAN bus you just need to add two extra wires for coolant and air temp sensor. Best Regards, Matthew

Hi Matt, I received the ecu rabbit, 3 days ago. Not installed yet. I want to ask something,
Where do i connect the resistor to the stock ecu injector and igniters cable. Can you give me a picture or diagram.
My car doesn't have an MAP sensor, what should i do.
I hope you can help me. Thank you.

Hi Madzfu, Here is a photo of an injector - OEM plug is fitted with 30 ohm resistor. Also seee added piggyback injector wiring plug and harness. 30 ohms is higher than normal injector resistance but still works with this particular OEM ECU. You may need to experiment - use the highest value you can to avoid wasted current. For the igniter I use 3.3k resistor between OEM igniter trigger signal and igniter ground reference. Again this works for my ECU but you might need to experiment with yours to avoid a fault code. What load reference sensor does your engine have? Air flow meter? If so, you need to find if it is analog or digital so I can help more. Analog sensor usually have rising voltage as load increases. Digital sensor has frequency - voltage measured appears to stay the same as load increases... Best Regards, Matthew Attachments:

Hi Matt,
Thank you for the explanation, it's very clear. Yes, only analog MAF sensors. So AN7-MAP [BA3] is connected to the MAF sensor ? I am buying connectors for maf, o2, injectors, igniters etc., from aliexpress. I have to wait for the connectors to be received to me for about a month, so i can start installed Rabbit ECU.

Hi Matt,
I just installed turbocharge. I think, i'm ready to install rabbit ecu. I wish you can help me until rabbit ecu can work on my car as a piggyback system. - Can i use wireless module, so rabbit ecu can connect to map mate. How do i connect to, is it AF3-AF4 or AC3-AC4 from ecu pin. Is there any problem if wireless module connected to AF3-AF4, while AF3-AF4 as for CAN.H-CAN.L.
Thank you.

Hi Matt, I'm trying to found out how do i connect wireless module. But i can't change ipaddress, networkadaptermac on map mate. Even i edited config file. Seting still unavailable. If i can't use wireless module, can i use cheap usb2can adapter. Thank you.

Hi Mazdfu,
I recommend using USB or CAN for now.
If you prefer CAN you can use the Kvaser Leaf Light or the USB2CAN from 8devices.
Am happy to add support for any of the newer 8devices adapters also just let me know which one you will try.
Cheers,
Matthew

Hi Matt, At last MapMate can online. I change device serial on ecuhost calibration config file. But i can't upload sample calibration file to rabbit ecu. By the way i bought korlan with OBD2 socket, connecting korlan pin CAN.H-CAN.L to rabbit ecu CAN.H-CAN.L (pin AF3-AF4). I replaced usb2can.dll file from korlan folder. to mapmate, and copied to my system32, still can't upload cal image file. Did i miss something.?

Hi Madzfu,
That's great I hope the usb2can.dll API is the same for Korlan as it is for usb2can original. I'm not sure as I haven't tested Korlan yet but I have one on order.
Did you try to connect MAP-MATE to the Arduino Due using USB? That way is a lot more tested. You just need a 90 degree USB micro cable at the native USB port and check the com port in device manager.
I will have time on the weekend to see if the Korlan API is the same...
Let me know if you need help to connect with USB.
Cheers,
Matthew
