Greetings, this is my first time in the RABBIT world, I was in disbelief at all that Matt is ungrateful to do.
Today I start my approach with RABBIT because I have to realise a project involving the DSG DQ250 on board of a VW POLO MK2 TDI with EDC15 engine control unit, here are my questions:
Where can I buy the configuration for DSG Control?
How much does it cost?
Does it have installation support? (I am fairly good at sniffing can messages if needed)
I think these messages are enough to get started, again congratulations Matt I'd be thrilled to talk to you and learn about your great potential.
Thank you all.

Hi, Thanks for finding my project :-) You don't need to buy the code if you this is your own project to make for yourself. This is a GPL project and the code is open source - you can find it here: github.com/RabbitECUProject/RabbitECUTeensyMCUXpressoIf you look at the code in file source/Client/DIAG.c you can see where the outgoing CAN messages are sent. For example, search for "stCANMsg.u32ID = 648" and you can see a CAN message being sent on ID 648. There is also a sample of CAN traffic of all IDs in another thread in this forum. You can purchase the Rabbit ECU which runs the code if you want. I sell on Tindie, but unfortunately the Teensy 3.5 version is unavailable right now. Very soon I will have some more NXP Kinetis boards available that will happily run the Teensy project code. Sorry for the delay - NXP has not been making Kinetis MCUs available in a timely manner. Sad because they are such a capable MCU :-( I am happy to give installation support on any of the Rabbit ECU purchased at Tindie. Hope this information helps. And thanks for your compliments, that is kind of you. Matthew

Matthew, unfortunately I'm not so good at understanding your code, I'd rather have a ready-made ECU that would do the job on its own, like the DSG Inside, but I like your design too much and wanted to buy yours. I would also need an ECU for GDI Mercedes AMG35, but I think here too you have to wait for the MCUs to arrive. If you think with your RABBIT you can manage the Mercedes AMG35 GDI engine with double phase shifter, I would be willing to help you with oscilloscope or whatever you need as signals or whatever. I hope it can be done, that would be great and let's bring the Rabbit to Italy. Gianluca

Hi mate,
I understand - I really hope to have some ready-made ECUs available again as the MCU supply comes back.
Wow AMG35 that would be quite a project - I love those cars when they have a crackle tune.
In Australia AMG is a status brand - there is of course no status in owning a Rabbit ECU :-P
Regardless, I'd be happy to collaborate - looking into and learning about the double phase shifter :-)
Best Regards,
Matthew

Matthew, If we want to start studying each other, we can make a dedicated post and start sharing all the information, such as wiring diagram, operating strategies and other info we find. Let me know. Best regards

Hey Gianluca,
Sure, please feel free to create another post with a name the suits better :-)
Also, it is worth checking for both ideas - the VW POLO MK2 TDI and the AMG 35 if they use piezo or solenoid injectors.
I wasn't planning for Rabbit ECU to support piezo injectors any time soon - unless some clever person can design a piezo driver daughterboard :-O
Are VW Golf GTI/R popular in Italy - possibly this is an easier vehicle to work with...
Cheers,
Matthew
